  • Going...Going...Gone!

    Mon 28 Nov 2016

As part of our Christmas Fair on Saturday, 3rd December, we will be having an auction. Due to a great response from parents, friends and local traders, we have received a number of terrific donations. A list of the available auction items can be found below. (With hopefully more to be added!)

The auction will take place at 3pm in the wooden hall. We have many valuable donations and hope you will come along, as this is an event not to be missed.
Sealed named bids will be accepted if you are unable to attend the fair. Please send into Mrs Graham in the school office by Friday 2nd December.

  • NSPCC / O2 Online Safety Event

    Mon 28 Nov 2016

There is still plenty of space available - please come along even if you haven't returned the reply slip.

We hope many of you will be able to join us at 3.10pm on Monday, 28th November for an online safety event.  Many children use the internet from a young age and we want to work with parents to promote the many positive benefits of internet use while ensuring the necessary protections are in place to keep children safe.  This event is being run by the NSPCC in partnership with O2 and is free for parents/carers who wish to attend.  Please return the reply slip if you plan to attend.  Children will be supervised by staff during the presentation to parents.

    Can you help?

For many years, we have had an auction as part of our Christmas Fair. We'd love to receive any items which could be auctioned on Saturday, 3rd December.

  • 50th Anniversary Maths Day

    Thu 17 Nov 2016

Wednesday, 16th of November was the 50th school day of this term so that seemed like the perfect day to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a special Maths Day. Throughout the day every class took part in a wide range of maths activities linked to the number '50'.  There were counting activities, calculations, measuring and construction; indoor and outdoor activities; individual challenges and group tasks. Some activities only lasted for 50 seconds; others took a whole lesson. Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed wearing their special Cairnshill stickers.  To help celebrate this occasion, everyone received a Cairnshill 'birthday' pen or pencil. Check out the website 'Gallery' to see lots of pictures from the day.
