Our sponsored aerobics were held on Friday, 31st May. This was a day later than planned due to the weather! We had two aerobic sessions with the majority of classes taking part in the morning. Many thanks to Mrs Thomas for leading us all in an energetic workout. We were all entertained by another special 'guest' who looked quite different from normal!
To see what went on, check out the 'Gallery' pages on both the 'Children' section and 'Nursery' section of our website. We hope to beat last year's fundraising total of approximately £6000.
The volunteers at Sustain Food Bank want to thank the pupils and parents of Cairnshill for the fantastic number of donations they received during the recent collection organised by the School Council. Almost 800 items were donated which was a fantastic response. The photographs below show about half of our donation, as well as how the food items are sorted and shelved. This was a much needed boost for the foodbank who were actually able to make a donation to the local Simon Community to help those in crisis.

The P7 pupils have returned from their trip to Loch Insh in the Scottish Highlands. It was a really busy week with everyone participating in a wide range of activities:- skiing, biking, orienteering, problem-solving, pond-dipping, archery, kayaking, Canadian canoeing, sailing, wind-surfing and raft-building. There was also a disco and presentation of certificates on the final evening.
Overall, the weather was good though it was very rainy on Wednesday afternoon and evening! There were lots of laughs as everyone tried new things. Due to the wide range of activities, everyone had different favourites and lots of people now want to take up new sports! The 'highlights' video which was shown at the disco was brilliant as there were so many smiling faces enjoying all the activities. This was a fantastic trip - well done to all the P7s involved.
(Keep an eye out for some pictures coming soon.)
