Newtownbreda Community Association Competition
The newly formed ‘Newtownbreda Community Association’ recently organised a competition for local schools. Pupils were asked to research the area of Newtownbreda and also, to design a logo for the Association. A winner was chosen from each participating school. Oliver Fleming, P6B, was delighted to be selected as the Cairnshill winner.
All the award winners were invited to the Four Winds Inn on Wednesday, 19th March for a presentation of prizes. Oliver received a lovely Sony digital camera donated by Tesco Newtownbreda. Our school also won a camera as we had entered the most designs from all the local schools - this was a lovely surprise! The logo design chosen as the overall winner was created by a pupil from Newtownbreda High School; this logo will feature on all the Association’s publicity.
Oliver, his family, Mrs Graham and Miss Bingham enjoyed the evening, especially the cake displaying the winning logo. We are all very proud of Oliver’s big achievement and his winning design certainly demonstrates his love of the Newtownbreda area. Well done, Oliver!
