SPORTS COUNCIL 2022/23
The new Sports Council for 2022/23 held their first meeting and had many great ideas for promoting Physical Activity throughout school in the year ahead. The Primary 7 children involved are enthusiastic and eager to see all children in Cairnshill engaged and participating in sport and activity on a daily basis. They realise the importance of creating healthy lifestyles for the future.
The children all completed applications to become Sports Council representatives and many mentioned that they would like to see children of all ages getting involved in new sporting activities and learning to ‘BE ACTIVE!’
Lots of new ideas have already been discussed at our meetings such as fundraising for equipment, Big Work Out days, Sports Hero talks, Try it Out days and even a Cairnshill gets going Fun Run. Watch this space as the Sports Council get planning for 2023.
They will be involved in planning and running events for the whole school community and we look forward to seeing the positive experiences being provided for the children in our school.
