Tag Rugby
On Wednesday, 25th February, two teams of P6 and P7 pupils travelled to the Lough Moss Centre to represent Cairnshill at a tag rugby 'coaching tournament'. The children competed against other schools from the local area - St Ita's PS, St Joseph's PS, Carryduff PS and Ballycarrickmaddy PS. There was a big focus on helping the children to develop their rugby skills and all of the referees gave lots of coaching points during the matches. Lots of tries were scored and the teams won most of their matches. Overall, it was a great morning and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They're looking forward to further opportunities to play in competitive matches in the future.
