P6 - Mighty Me!
Primary Six have been very busy recently. Their current WAU topic is “The Human Body” and they have discovered so many new facts about themselves!
In recent weeks, they have skimmed and scanned non-fiction texts to find new information about specific organs in the body. They summarised this research and presented their findings to each other. The stomach group even carried out a smelly experiment to show how food is digested.
P6 completed a “Rethink your Drink” challenge where they estimated, investigated and measured the sugar content in various popular drinks. Additionally, they calculated how much fat there is in a regular McDonalds meal.
They met a new “pupil” called Bob. He doesn’t say much, but he is an interesting body to be around!
Primary Six have even kept their bodies healthy by exercising to body themed pop songs.
