C2k Newdesk Art Competitions

C2k Newsdesk are running some competitions...

It's competition time again on the Newsdesk - and in October we're asking you to put your artistic talents to good use by drawing or painting a picture on an A4 page.  Choose one of the topics or themes below that inspires you and fires your imagination to create your own unique artwork.

When your art is complete, write your FULL NAME, CLASS, SCHOOL and TOWN on the back of the page and give it to your teacher by Monday, 23rd October.

P1-P4 Pupils:-

1. In autumn I see... Draw what you have spotted on your autumn nature walk. Did you see any colourful leaves? Autumn fruit such as blackberries or apples?

2. I know autumn is here because... Draw the signs of autumn - harvesting crops, animals preparing for hibernation, leaves turning colour and fruit ripening.

3. Leaf art - Design your very own leaf picture with lots of autumn colours.

4. Pumpkin Fever - Design the perfect pumpkin to welcome darker evenings.

5. Scary Scarecrow - Scarecrows keep the harvest crops safe in the fields. How would you design a scarecrow scary enough to keep away the birds?

6. Autumn Tree Art - Using paint, pencil, marker or crayon draw your own autumn trees.

7. Happy hedgehogs - Draw your own happy hedgehog as they prepare to hibernate for the winter.

8. Acorns and conkers - Sketch and shade the detailed shell of a conker after it falls from the tree.

9. Create your own scratch art sparkling firework display using wax crayons and lots of different colours.
